Walter Welker, a great photographer, mentor and friend. He is no longer with us, though he is always in our hearts.  

A man of humor, let me share a photo of Walter, myself and Al Varner, which he sent to me as a post card after my sojourn in Chicago.  I unfortunately do not have the date, although I guess it was sometime in the 80’s.  By his written word, one can see the humor he was very capable of.
